I am a teacher at heart. I hold degrees in English and Reading.  I have taught high school English, undergraduate and graduate-level college courses, and have conducted intensive writing workshops. I was an instructor for the Institute of Children’s Literature for over ten years. A rigorous, individualized program for aspiring writers of books for children, the syllabus covered a wide spectrum of topics related to writing process, specifics of craft, and preparation for submission for publication.  Personal feedback and advisement were hallmarks of the program. I enjoy guiding aspiring writers in various stages of pre-publication.
